Certain products sold by Salomon Truck Parts & Export may include a refundable core charge. A core is a used part that can be returned for rebuilding or remanufacturing purposes.

Please review the following core return guidelines carefully.

What Is a Core Charge?

Some products may require an additional refundable core deposit at the time of purchase.

Core charges commonly apply to products such as:

  • Starters

  • Alternators

  • Turbochargers

  • Brake calipers

  • Engines

  • Other remanufactured or special-order components

When applicable, the core charge will be displayed on the product page or invoice.

Core Return Eligibility

To qualify for a full or partial core refund:

  • The returned core must match the original purchased item

  • The core must be complete

  • The core cannot be excessively damaged, broken, or missing major components

  • The core must be returned within the allowed return period when applicable

All returned cores are subject to inspection and approval by Salomon Truck Parts & Export.

Unacceptable Core Conditions

Core returns may be rejected or partially credited if the returned item includes:

  • Broken housing or casing

  • Missing components

  • Severe rust or water damage

  • Burned or heavily damaged internal parts

  • Non-matching or incorrect items

  • Incomplete assemblies

Core Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for all core return shipping costs unless otherwise specified.

Customers may also return eligible cores directly to our store location to avoid shipping expenses.

Core Inspection & Refunds

Once the core is received, our team will inspect the item to determine eligibility for refund or credit.

Inspection processing times may vary depending on the product and supplier requirements.

Approved core refunds may be issued as:

  • Full refund

  • Partial refund

  • Rejected return if the core does not meet acceptance requirements

Refund timing may vary depending on the original payment method and inspection approval process.

Special Orders

Some core products may be considered special-order items and may have additional conditions or manufacturer-specific requirements.
